Mimi / note 2

Writing actions people can follow

The 09:45 example highlights a different part of the process: support backlog. Frame agenda items as questions. Close each question with a decision, an owner or a reason to revisit it. Compare it with 10:00 before assuming that both items require the same response.

Work through the specimen

The discussion may be valuable while the notes still leave the next step unclear. Decisions and actions need different treatment.

Example: 09:45

The illustrative record contains support backlog. Its state is action. Ask what evidence supports that state, which detail is still uncertain and whether the next person could understand it without reading a separate message thread.

Questions for a working review

A small exercise

Take one recent meeting organization example from your own process. Write its context without using a status label, then add the label separately. If the two contradict each other, investigate the source before updating the record. Compare the result with “10:00” in the demonstration to see which distinctions your process needs.

These are planning notes. The specimen is illustrative, and the preview does not process live work.
